Disorder
Photo & Film Release/ Directed by Filipe Zapelini
“Disorder” is a short film conceptualized by Brazilian native Will Dias. The project delivers a satirical evaluation of mental disorder, and how societal normalities have suppressed these ailed individuals.
Those afflicted with mental disorders often cannot effectively verbalize the issues they face daily. This is due to an aversion of feeling burdensome to loved ones, and also a product of their own inability to fully understand their mental disorder.
Dias’ film explores mental disorder through his obsession with aquatic life, while incorporating playful animation and iconic New York City landscape. A continuous narrative enables the audience to digest the deeper meaning which the film aims to seek.
